HubSpot Marketing Setup

No. I’ll need access to and input from people in your team, specifically: a decision-maker e.g. the CEO, CMO, CTO, and a senior-level salesperson. Having access to a dev would be great, too. HubSpot can’t be set up correctly in insolation, so expect to have some involvement in the project.

Communication makes or breaks these projects. I use the project management tool Trello. I can use another PM tool, no problem. Day-to-day communication is through Slack, occasional calls, and Loom video updates. I also have weekly office hours (phone, video, and WhatsApp.) Decisions will often need to be made quickly for the project to progress. Being responsive is critical to the success of the projects so please don't leave me hanging until 6pm ;)

Due to certain UK employment laws, I'm unable to manage a team or get deeply involved with recruitment (whether in the UK or abroad.) I will, when needed, delegate tasks and set deadlines, but that's it. I'll leave the performance reviews to you ;)

No. The fee covers the 6- or 8-week setup or optimization and is outlined as such in the project contract. These estimates may vary depending on your businesses' specific circumstances and needs.  

As explained in the contract: the project ends on the date stipulated even if you've struggled to provide what's needed. We can discuss extending the collaboration but that will incur charges.

In the unlikely event that I'm unable to fulfil the project and I am unable to provide a substitute, you'll be refunded a percentage of the fee. Details of this are included in the contract.

Good question. Here's why: no recruitment process, no onboarding, no pre-booked vacation, no egos, no unwillingness to execute, no desire to "build a team", no endless strategy decks. You get it.

No, I'm usually a one-man band. If you choose to use additional contractors or freelancers yourself, that cost is covered by you and doesn't fall within the package fee.

The HubSpot set up project takes approx. 6 weeks.

The optimization of an existing set up takes up to approx. 8 weeks.

These time frames are based on my experience with previous clients. Keep in mind that input from your side, responsivity, access to stakeholders and relevant tools, and quick decisions make these project time lines possible.

I’m an official HubSpot Partner. This means I receive a small commission if a client chooses to purchase or upgrade a HubSpot account/subscription. That said, I don’t push my clients to take or keep HubSpot if they don’t need it. I tell a lot of people it’s too soon to invest in a tool like HubSpot.

I do, but the majority of companies using HubSpot are B2B. I have a few long-term B2C clients, so get in touch if you'd like to be one of them.
